Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-09-01 · The Bid Scout LLC

These terms are an agreement between you and The Bid Scout LLC ("TheBidScout," "we"), a Colorado company. By using TheBidScout you agree to them. TheBidScout is a new service and may change.

What TheBidScout is — and isn't

TheBidScout is a source-backed prioritization aid for federal contracting opportunities. It helps you decide which opportunities are worth your time and shows its reasoning. TheBidScout does not:

  • guarantee eligibility, compliance, set-aside qualification, or contract award;
  • predict that you will win a contract;
  • write, submit, or manage bids or proposals on your behalf;
  • provide legal advice.

The official solicitation always controls. Always verify deadlines, requirements, and eligibility against the official source before acting. TheBidScout is a prioritization aid, not an eligibility determination.

Your account & your data

You're responsible for keeping access to your sign-in email secure. The business information you enter is yours; we handle it as described in our Privacy Policy, and you can export or permanently delete it yourself at any time from your account.

Acceptable use

Use TheBidScout for your own business's contracting research. Don't attempt to scrape, resell, or bulk-export the data, or to access another customer's account or reports.

Plans, billing & cancellation

TheBidScout offers a free plan and paid plans (see plans & pricing). We will not auto-bill you: paid features are charged only after you choose a plan; otherwise your account simply continues on the free plan. When you do subscribe to a paid plan, it is charged through our payment processor (Stripe) on a recurring basis at the price shown when you subscribe, and you can cancel anytime — cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Prices and plan features may change as the product develops, and we'll show the current terms before you subscribe.

Availability

The service is offered as-is and as-available at this stage and may be modified or interrupted. We do our best to be accurate and source-backed, but we do not warrant that the service is error-free, or that any opportunity, deadline, or requirement shown is complete or current — again, the official solicitation controls.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheBidScout is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The Bid Scout LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any bid/no-bid decision you make using the service; our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop using TheBidScout and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms or the acceptable-use rules above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll update the date above, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
